On Saturday, September 13th, Feliz Filadelfia proudly hosted a one-day showdown tournament at Hammond Fields, bringing together teams from Philadelphia, Reading, and Allentown. From 8 AM to 8 PM, the park was alive with baseball, music, food, and a lemonade stand proudly run by Noah Rivera, son of Feliz Filadelfia President Jose Rivera. Noah kept families refreshed throughout the day and added his own spark to the community atmosphere with his contagious smile and his fresh lemonade.

The action on the field was electric. Juan Sanchez Baseball Academy of Allentown came out strong, defeating Feliz Filadelfia 9–5 in the opener and then topping Reading 14–3 to secure their spot in the championship. Feliz Filadelfia fought back with a 12–5 win over Reading to earn a rematch, but in the final game Juan Sanchez Academy once again played crisp, disciplined baseball to win 13–7 and take home the trophy. Congratulations to them on a well-deserved victory !

While Juan Sanchez Academy lifted the championship trophy, the day meant much more than wins and losses. Families enjoyed food, kids laughed and played, and music carried across the park from the first pitch to the last out. It was a true celebration of community, proving once again that baseball is about more than the game… it’s about bringing people together.

Feliz Filadelfia is proud to represent Philadelphia and create opportunities for young athletes to showcase their talents while learning teamwork, respect, and joy for the game. With more tournaments and celebrations ahead, we’ll keep building memories through baseball. We also want to thank the Germantown Warriors of Philadelphia for providing five guest players who stepped up and helped make the tournament possible.
