Feliz Filadelfia sent four teams to the 2nd annual Philly Cup futsal tournament on June 13-14. Our teams were 8-Under, 10-Under, 12-Under and 14-Under. Overall 90 teams and 1,200 players from throughout the Philadelphia area participated in the Philly Cup, which took place at the Eakins Oval outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art and is quickly becoming an annual sports fixture in Philadelphia. The event is put on by our partner Street Soccer USA.
Every player wore the Feliz Filadelfia crest with pride and played with both great determination and sportsmanship. While our teams fought hard throughout the tournament, the results didn’t fall our way. After a weekend of exciting matches filled with wins, losses, and hard-fought draws, none of our teams advanced to the playoff rounds. Although the outcome wasn’t what we had hoped for, our players never stopped competing, encouraging one another, and representing Feliz Filadelfia with pride, respect, and determination.
At Feliz Filadelfia, success isn’t measured only by trophies. Every match was an opportunity to learn, grow, and build confidence. Our athletes gained valuable experience competing against talented teams from across Philadelphia while demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and a love for the game. The smiles, friendships, and memories created throughout the weekend are victories that will last long after the final whistle.
