At Feliz Filadelfia, the game of baseball is about more than wins and losses…it’s about joy, community, and unforgettable moments. Nobody captures that spirit better than Marv, the Umpire from North Philly.

Marv is retired, but he continues to dedicate his time to youth baseball as an umpire. And he’s known for more than calling balls and strikes, he’s famous for his dance moves. Last year he brought the crowd to life with his dancing at our fields, and this season he did it again. Players, parents, and fans loved every step.

When asked why he loves umpiring at Feliz Filadelfia, Marv said: “I love to umpire here because I don’t know which is better…the food, the music, or the players.“

Kids cheer him on, parents can’t get enough, and Marv reminds us all that baseball is about fun, laughter, and making memories together. We thank Marv for bringing his energy and joy to every game…and for showing us what makes this sport so special.
