Roger GordonFall Ball baseball is special for Feliz Filadelfia this year. First, Feliz Filadelfia is actually running the league for 12-under teams and seven teams are participating. But most importantly, the league this year is named after Philadelphia legend Roger Gordon.

Roger, who is a retired judge in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, pitched at Princeton University, and later helped coach the varsity for 20 years. For his entire adult life, Roger has been a tireless promoter of youth baseball in Philadelphia.

This coming Thursday, Roger will throw out the first pitch at Thursday’s game against the Fishtown Hoagies at Hammond Fields.  Feliz Filadelfia is fielding two teams in the league, with the Angels team already sporting a 4-0 record with seven games still to go.
