The Hammond Avenue baseball fields have been getting a makeover with the start of the baseball and softball seasons less than a month away. Preseason training for the various boys and girl’s teams has already started despite the cool weather. Coach Tone, below, has been working out with the girl’s softball team which is hoping to repeat as league champions. The season starts in April.
The infields at the two diamonds have also been raked and swept in anticipation of the season. Feliz Filadelfia will be fielding teams for the boys at 7-8 year old level, 9-10 year old, 11-12 year old and 15-under; and for the girls 18-under.
