Feliz Filadelfia in collaboration with LandHealth Institute successfully brought our youth together on Sunday, July 10th to take part in our Community Garden Event.

Our focus was to encourage our youth to participate and explore ways where they can take part in decision-making aspects. Mentors from LandHealth educated our youth about the importance of planting and nurturing seeds.

The seeds that were planted consisted of strawberries, cucumbers, carrots, butternut squash, radish, spinach, zucchini, peas, tomatoes, and avocado plants.

As you can see in the pictures and videos below, our youth eagerly rolled up their sleeves and went to work. By the end of the event, our youth expressed their interest in volunteering to ensure that our community garden continues to flourish. The kids are excited to see the results of their labor and so are we!
