Coach Tiny (her real name is Maria Ortiz but everyone calls her Coach Tiny) started playing baseball in Queens, New York, when she was 13 after she had moved from her native Puerto Rico. 30 years later she is still playing. As if that was not enough, Coach Tiny started coaching softball in 2018, and last season she began coaching the girls softball teams at Feliz Filadelfia, and good news….she is coming back to coach the girls teams at Feliz again in 2025.

Its clear that Coach Tiny loves the sport but her real inspiration is seeing her girls grow and develop both on and off the field. She sees the positive impact softball has on their lives, the way her players work together and cheer each other on and never give up.

Under Coach Tiny, the Feliz players are more than a team….they are family!

Interested players can register online now. Practice starts March 1. There will be three teams, 12 and under, 14 and under, and 18 and under.
