Feliz Filadelfia Angels girls softball team hosted Bridesburg on a chilly night at Hammond Fields on Monday night 4/22. The crowd packed the field to watch these two good teams battle it out.
Hitting came early and often for both teams. The Angels were leading 6-5 heading to the bottom half of the 3rd inning.
Nicole Guzman, who batted in the cleanup spot, had a runner on first base and then blasted a home run that would have made the legend Babe Ruth proud! Guzman blasted the ball well over the clubhouse and into our batting cage to make the score 8-5. The estimated distance was about 290 feet!
Coach Tone and his girls went on to add 4 more runs to seal the deal and win the slug fest 12-5.
The Angels kept their bats rolling the following night at Penn Academy. The Girls beat them 14-0 to improve their record to 2-1.
