“It’s Here”!
Feliz Filadelfia just purchased a basketball court ! The youth that are involved in our program always wanted a basketball court so that we can have occasional 3-on-3 in-house tournaments.
Jose Rivera who is the founder of Feliz Filadelfia purchased the basketball court with the help of some Grant money at Dicks Sporting Goods in the Willow Grove area. We are looking forward to partnering up with Dicks Sporting Goods in the near future.
Active Board Member Alexandro Crespo, installed the brand new court outside the fields on a chilly Sunday morning.
During baseball practice this past Monday, we brought out the basketball court to surprise the kids and their eyes lit up with joy ! “Coach … Coach you got us a basketball court” they yelled ! It was an awesome feeling to see the happiness on their faces.
We now store the portable basketball court in our clubhouse and will bring it out from time to time. We do plan on having 3-on-3 tournaments for the youth and their families in the upcoming months.
This could not have been possible if it wasn’t for the great supporting cast and partnerships that Feliz Filadelfia has.
