Now that the new year is arriving, it is a great time to look back on what has been accomplished at Feliz Filadelfia in 2023.
Feliz Filadelfia expanded its baseball program with more teams plus we introduced a 19-under team which promptly won the RBI league championship sponsored by the Philadelphia Phillies.
A soccer program was introduced in September in collaboration with Street Soccer USA. Coach Taz with the help of Coach Jasmine produced a winner with more than 30 kids participating twice a week. We even played another team Kensington Soccer….and won!
A highlight was the recognition Feliz Filadelfia received this fall from the Latino Caucus of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for our service to the Hispanic community. Our leadership team traveled out to Harrisburg to receive the award.
Later this fall, Feliz Filadelfia received a community service award from the Tookany/ Tacony Watershed Partnership. We look forward to working with TTFW closely in the year ahead to improve the Tacony Creek environment.
